Welcome to USC Presents...on the ResearchChannel
USC is a member of the ResearchChannel, a consortium of leading research universities and organizations that use cutting edge technologies to publicize the research conducted at each institution. The ResearchChannel is an opportunity for the University of Southern California to deliver lectures, presentations, symposia, and panels to a potentially large global audience. The Channel provides an excellent way to promote the research strengths of USC, support recruitment of students and faculty, and enhance USC's research, education, and outreach missions.
The ResearchChannel is carried on the Echostar Satellite Dish Network (Channel 9400) and many cable television systems in U.S. cities (including LA36) as well as on college campuses. The programming is also streamed live and on-demand via the ResearchChannel's website located at USC Presents...on the ResearchChannel.
The ResearchChannel project at USC is administered by the Center for Scholarly Technology (CST).
USC now presents four program series on the ResearchChannel.

A day-long conference at the USC Law School bringing scholars in law, political science, economics, and public communication together with people working in politics, campaigns and the media to discuss major trends that are evident in the November 2004 election and that will shape politics into the next decade. The conference includes a keynote address at lunch by Senator Bob Graham (D-FL). Sponsored by the USC-Caltech Center for the Study of Laws and Politics and the Initiative and Referendum Institute.

USC Presents...The 27th Annual Earl V. Pullias Lecture Each year, the USC Rossier School of Education invites an important figure in the field of higher education to deliver an address for its current students, graduates and friends on an important issue in the field. The Earl V. Pullias Lectureship in Higher Education is published and distributed for both a national and international audience. Past lecturers include USC President Steven B. Sample, Carnegie Foundation President Ernest Boyer, former U.S. Secretary of Education Terrel Bell, University of California Chancellor David Gardner, and California State University Systems Chancellor Barry Munitz. The 2204 lecture, held live on the USC campus on October 12, 2004, is by Douglas Becker, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Laureate Education, Inc. ( formerly Sylvan Learning Systems). 01/26/05
