                    What I can do and what I can't do
  In my childhood, I had many great dreams. For example, I would become a scientist; I would make a machine which could make a person become clever instantly; I would change the world by my hand and my mind.
  I know no pains no gains. So I learn hard and work hard. No movies
and no candies. I become a teacher after nineteen years learning.　Up to
now, I have worked for 2 years. I just know that now I only begin the first
step of my life. And I also know that what I can do and what I can't
do.
  I can become a young man,　but I can't insure that I will become a
powerful man.
I can learn and work hard, but I can't control the results.
I can pursue my goals,　but I can't control my fortune.
I can practice spoken English everyday,　but I can't make sure that I
can obtain the goals which I have been planned.
I can speak English, but I can't speak very clearly and quickly.
I can teach the students, but I can't make myself understood by each
student.
I can infer the results of a story from what I know, but I can't know
whether it's right or not.
I can think something very carefully for a long time, but I can't get
new ideas sometimes.
I can talk something with somebody, but I can't say too much about
that.
I can get a telephone number from a person, but I can't call them at
once.
I can instruct students to do something, but I can't do it by myself.
I can wash my hands, face and clothes, but I can't wash my computer.
I can look at my hands straightly, but I can't look at my eyes
straightly.
I can buy everything which I like, but I can't buy love from someone.
I can make more money from my work, but I can't make more money in my
spare time.
I can make sure I will use two languages to teach students, but I
can't make sure it will go well.
I can speak English and Chinese, but I can't speak Japenese, Italian, Arabic, German.
I can speak some words of Russian, but I can't speak too many.
I can find a problem, but I can't get an answer immediately.
I can find a job, but I can't find a best job.
I can listen carefully, but I can't listen clearly.

2006.4.19 repeat the dialogue after VCD alone
2006.4.20 repeat the dialogue after VCD with the instructing of tutor sun. There are three methods at least. First, we can repeat one time after VCD. Second, we can repeat one sentence as many times as possible in the interval between two sentences using one breath way. Third, we can repeat as many sentences which we have heard till the sentence we just have heard as possible in the interval between two sentences.

                  Could they work together?
  One day, Linda came in the studio and told Mike that she couldn’t find the scripts for the show on Tuesday. Mike worked with Linda for a long time. And he knew Linda’s habits very well and told Linda the scripts were always in her briefcase. But Linda said there were not the scripts in her briefcase. Furthermore, Linda said Susan, Jake, and Joan need their scripts for their rehearsal that day at 3:00.
  Just that moment, Jake came in with bookcase in his right hand. Linda wondered if they were the scripts. However, Jake told her they were not the scripts but his idea for the weekend report. Linda had a look at his story. But Linda didn’t like the story about baseball again. At that moment, Susan came in and wanted Linda to see her idea for the weekend report. Jake told Susan he had a story on baseball but Linda didn’t like it. Susan felled surprised because the Stamford team whom played baseball was in first place. Jake also told Linda he could practice with them. When Linda heard about all these, she agreed with Jake’s story and also wanted Jake take Susan with him. But Jake told Linda that he wanted to do the story alone and the weed report was his idea. Jake made an apologize to Susan and told her he didn’t need help. When Linda heard this, she as a leader told them that they should work together there and it isn’t one person’s show but all the persons’ show. Linda wanted them to work together and told them that they looked good together. Hearing that, Susan felled ashamed because Jake didn’t need her help and just told Linda she was busy that moment.
  Then Jake told Linda he needed to do the story that weekend. Linda permitted and told Jake he could do the story that time but next time do it with Susan. Susan felled awful again and wanted to talk about other things. So she asked Linda to read her script first. Linda refused and said she liked to read the script on weekends.
  Jake and Susan went out and Linda came to Mike. Suddenly, Linda recalled something and opened her briefcase and found the scripts. She felled wonderful. Mike also was glad to see that. But Linda looked upset again. Mike wanted to know what made Linda felled bad. Linda told him she didn’t know if Jake and Susan could work together very well. Mike thought she didn’t worry and they could work together very well.
  And then Mike wanted to give Linda a surprise and advised Linda to see his new videotape. After seeing the new videotape, Linda felled that’s great and wondered if they could use those pictures. Mike told Linda they could used the pictures because the pictures belonged to him. Mike asked Linda who would do the story. Linda thought one who could kayak should do the story. Mike said Joan could kayak. Linda didn’t believe it. But Mike told Linda he was sure that Joan could kayak very well. So Linda made a decision that Joan did the story and thanked Mike for his good job very much.
