LESSON 11 SO TELL ME ABOUT YOUR PLANS.

SCENE ONE: THE EXERCISE STUDIO

Carol: So, it's really over between you and John.
Susan: I need to think about it. I don't know what I'm going to do. I love him.
Carol: When is John going to leave?
Carol: Does he have an apartment?
Susan: The people at KDEN are going to find one for him.
Carol: Are they going to pay for it too?
Susan: No, they aren't. But they're going to give him money to move.
Edna: Faster, ladies.
Carol: Oh, I can't. In a minute. I'm going to quit.
Susan: So tell me about your plans. What are you going to do?
Carol: Well, I'm going to leave for Vermont next month.
Susan: Are you going to start your new job next month too?
Carol: Yes, but first I'm going to look for an apartment.
Susan: when are you going to look for an apartment?
Carol: Next weekend. You know, I'm very excited about the job. I'm going to be a newscaster!
Susan: That's great. I'm happy for you, but I'm going to miss you.      
Carol: Oh, I'm going to come back to Stamford.
Susan: You're going to come back?
Carol: Yes, to visit.
Susan: That's good.
Edna: Up and down, and up and down, and up and down. . .

LESSON 12 WHEN ARE YOU GOING TO GET MARRIED?

SCENE ONE: THE WEFL STUDIO
Rita: Oh, thank you. This cheese is out of this world.
Carol: I'm so happy for you both. I was surprised when you told me.
John: I was surprised too.
Susan: Do you believe this is me, Carol?
Carol: I think it's wonderful. So tell me everything. When are you going to get married? When are you going to wear? Where are you going to live?
Waiter : Can I get you a drink?
Carol: Yes, please. I'd like a glass of wine.
John: How about you?
Susan: I'd like a Diet Pepsi.
Linda: We are here to say goodbye to John and Susan. Susan and John are going to get married.
Rita: And who's surprised by that news?
Mike: Did you know?
Rita: Of course I knew. Don't I know everything?
Linda: Susan's going with John to Denver. She got a great job at the station there too . I want to congratulate both John and Susan and wish them well.
All: To John and Susan!
Jake: When did you hear that John and Susan are going to get married?
Linda: I heard last night. I was shocked. Two newscasters leaving at the same time. What am I going to do?
Jake: Well, I can do it alone.
Linda: Jake, I hired Carol. She's going to work with you. Jake, Jake, are you all right?
John: Susan and I are going to leave in a few minutes. We want to thank you. It was great working with every one of you.
Carol: Wait! Before you leave, how about a kiss?
John: A kiss? (Everyone shouts encouragement. )Shall we?
Susan: Why not?
All: Goodbye, good luck.
Jake: So carol, would you like to practice some news?
