自学印地语3 ： 在屋里

लड़का
ladka         boy
लडको को
Ladko ko    to boys

कुत्ता
kutta          dog
कुत्तों तों
Kutto ko     to dogs

...and masculine -a adjectives keep their usual oblique -e ending:
लामर
Kamra   room
छोटे कमरों में
chote kamro men    in small rooms

अद्का
adka   boy
लडको को
bare ladko ko    to big boys
हमला टूटता
Hamala kutta   our dog
हमारे कुत्तों को
hamare kutto ko    to our dogs

Nouns of either gender that end in -i change this to iy before adding  the -o ending. So they end -iyo.
आदमी
admi     man
आदमियों  से
admiyo se    from men

लड़की
arki    girl
लड़कियों से larkiyo from    girls

Well, after all that grammar you probably feel the need to sit or even lie down for a bit, so ...

Sitting and lying

'Sitting' is बैठा  baitha and 'standing' is खड़ा  khada; 'lying' is पडा Pada for an inanimate object (e.g. a book lying on the table), but लेते leta for a person who is 'lying down'. These words need to agree with their nouns, like adjectives:

मनोज कमरे में बैठा है.
Manoj kamre me baitha hai. Manoj is sitting in the room.
गीता बगीचे में कड़ी है .
Gita bagiche me khada hai.   Geeta is standing in the garden.
दोनोकद्कियाँ फर्श पर लेती हैं .
donon ladkiyan farsh par leti hain. The two girls are lying on the floor .
