百官一看，消灭董卓，谁也没招，最后大伙一着急，干脆一块哭吧。于是百官皆哭啊，这哪是寿堂啊，成暴面的地方了。可众人正在哭的时候，忽然在左下独一人抚掌大笑：“哈哈哈哈哈！”
这一了可不要紧，百官全愣住了，王司徒或往上冒，把眼泪擦了擦，顺声音往下定情瞧了瞧，就见左手最下面一张桌子，后边坐着一个人，这个人身高七尺五寸，面带忧愤，两道大无字眉，一对细目，通关鼻梁，方海阔口，三楼子胡须，身材圆领红袍。
一看认得这个人，官拜小提校尉，姓曹名操，字孟德，一看是曹操，王云这火大了，“啪”把桌子一怕就站起来了。
“我等大伙为国是忧心，再次痛哭，你放上大笑，这是何意？”
“哈哈哈哈。司徒大人，请不要误会，方才我都听明白了。我也恨董卓，也愿为国除害，但是咱们从现在开始，哭到天亮，天亮哭到天黑，还能哭死董卓否？既然哭不死，我们哭又有什么用呢？”
唉，大家一听对，王云就问：“孟德，那你有何良策？”
“司徒大人，最近我与董卓处的不错，他加封我为小提校尉，统领重兵，现在出入相府，他一点都不防备，如果大家有这个心，曹不才，愿到相府行刺，把匹夫的人头砍下，悬头国门，以谢天下。”
“哎呀，这是真的，我们在光中之下，岂能儿戏呢？那孟德，你打算怎么办呢？”
“司徒大人，我听说你府中有七宝刀一口，此刀价值连城，锋利无比，能否借于曹操？明日，我就到相府前去行刺，你看如何？”
“好吧。”王云一想，人家可以挺身冒险为国除害，我家里一口宝刀算得了什么呢？令手下人把取回来了。这口刀一共一尺二长，七宝镶嵌，锋利无比。王云给了曹操，曹孟德转首往外就走，被王云一把就拉住了：“且慢。孟德，事关重大，你要千万注意。”
“司徒放心，各位放心。即使我杀不了董卓，也不能把大家都说出来，我宁肯一人受苦，绝不牵连众位。你们就放心吧。”
