自学印地语4 ：有一些茶叶

तुम tum:
मैथो baitho sit
बोलो bolo speak
जाओ jao go
औ ao come
हनो kabo say
खाओ khao eat

आप aap:
मैथी baithie please sit
बोली bolie please speak
जाइए jaaie please go
आये aaie please come
कही kabie please say
खी khaie please eat

INFINlTIVE
Four of the commonest verbs are irregular (wouldn't you just know it?):
करना kana to do
देना dena to give
लेना Lena to take
पीना pina to drink

करो karo do
दो do give
लो lo take
पियो piyo drink

कीजिए kijie please do
दीजिए dijie please give
लीजिए lijie please take
पीजिए pijie please drink

Commands to someone you call टू tu just use the verb stem
–बैठ  baith,
बोल  bol,
जा  ja,
आ aa,
कह  kah,
खा   kha,
कर  kar.
दे  de
.ले  Ie.
पि  pi.
As their shortness suggests, these टू tu commands are very blunt (or, if you prefer, sharp!) - 'Speak!' 'Sit!'; used out of context, they could easily give offence. Care needed here!

Commands are made negative by
“ना  na
or मत  mat 'don't'.
The latter is blunter.

यहाँ न बैठी .yahan na baithje. Please don't sit here.

कुछ मत बोलो!  kuch mat bolo! Don't say anything!

१ मत जी ,बैठी.mat jaie! aie, baithie.
२बाती ,आप कैसे हैं? bataie, ap kaise hain?
३ समोसा खी ,पानी पीजिए .
samosa khaie, pani pijie.

४यब दूसरा समोसा भी लीजिए . yab dusra samosa bhi lijie.

५ मोई को समोसा न दीजिए . . Moti ko samosa na dijie.

६ और कहिए .
aur khaie! ['Have some more!']

७  खली प्लेट मेज़ पर रखी .khli plet mez par rakhie.

८ अरे !सिग्रेट न पीजिए! are! sigret na pijie!

९ अरे चाय लीजिए.
aur chay lijie. ['Have some more
