Some additional info
Bed are of different types. Hum ise khatiya, or khaat, bhee kahtey hain. If you would have gone to Dhabas(eatery on highways in different north, west and eastern part of India mostly), these will be available in front of the hotel so that truck drivers, guests could relax. On your order, when hot chapati, tadka, dal ,veg. curry, , kheer(Paayas, sweet dish of sevai-vermicelli or rice), etc. are ready, the hotel boys would call you to have a wash and go in for food. Imagine a truck(lorry) driver driving 1500-1800 KMs in 5 days time(Delhi to Mumbai or Delhi ti Kolkata or Chennai to Kolkata or Chennai to Mumbai or vice versa, similarly from other locations). Some drive whole day and take rest at night at Dhaba and some drive whole night on highways and take rest in the day. In the day due to traffic, it is difficult to get the vehicle into the town for loading/unloading/offloading.. :When articles are perishable or seasonal (mangoes, vegetables)or costly items, life saving drugs i.e medicines like mangoes, vegetables, and time -bound delivery is must , it is a real stress for them, also leaving away families for weeks or months for duty.
some related items names with meaning: Bichawan is used for bed or bistar word. Takiya is pillow. Razai is quilt, blanket is kumble, chaadar is bedsheet, Tauliya means towel. Rumaal is kerchief, bartan is utensil, chakka(wheel), saabun(soap), gaadi(vehicle), insurance(beema), aspataal(hospital), durghatana(accident), warehouse (godown or godaam) or Bhandaar grih(stock room).
I conclude saying:
“Jab gaadi se gaadi takraati hai, accident kahlaati hai.
Jaab dil se dil takraata hia, muhabbat kahlaati hai.
