Phase 1: TRAINING PROGRAM

Connecticut School of Broadcasting has a class schedule to accommodate full time and part time students. The day class runs Monday through Thursday 9:30am to 1:00pm for 8 weeks. The night classes meet either Monday and Wednesday or Tuesday and Thursday 6:30pm to 10:00 for 16 weeks. Each student takes the same class encompassing ALL aspects of the communication industry, giving each student the understanding of how jobs are linked in the industry. For example, want to be an on-air jock? You'll still have to do audio production work AND understand how your job interacts with the sales, traffic and promotion departments.

CSB doesn't just teach you one aspect of the industry - we know versatility is the key to making it in this business. The course is a fast-paced, energetic ride, using the most up-to-date equipment & technology and taught through a learn-by-doing method to provide you with the skills you need to work in the broadcast industry. While attending class, you will also be responsible for completing assignments for class and will be expected to sign up for studio time outside of class for practice and extra help when needed.

Phase 2: DEMOS/RESUMES/WORKSHOPS

When you graduate from the school, the relationship does not end there. The emphasis shifts & there is a little more responsibility on YOU to come back to the school and start practicing in the studios, creating demos, preparing resumes and attending workshops to advance the skills you acquired in Phase One. This can be a frustrating period, but students use the school facilities & the available staff to help perfect what they have learned and get those demos ready for Phase Three.

Phase 3: JOB PLACEMENT ASSISTANCE

Once you build an approved demo & are deemed to have acquired the skills and confidence to move on, you progress to Phase Three. Using their vast network of contacts, the director and career service staff research & provide job leads consistent with the interests of our graduates. They'll also help you prepare for interviews, design cover letters targeted to specific jobs, and give you personalized career advice, so that YOU can get closer to landing your dream job in the broadcast industry. Connecticut School of Broadcasting can not guarantee employment but has seen thousand upon thousands of grads being placed coast to coast in all aspects of the communication industry.

Phase 4: LIFETIME COMMITMENT

Found a job? Your relationship with CSB still continues. We are committed to providing lifetime placement assistance to every student. If at any time you wish to look for other jobs, we'd be happy to help & guide you as you create a new demo. Want to make the transition from radio to television? We'll assist you in any way we can. Want to get trained on a new equipment or a new program? No problem. With your lifetime relationship with CSB, you'll have use of studios and new technology as it is introduced at the school.
